Books Close, Read at Your Fingertips： On the “Bird’s Nest Library” Promotion and Construction Strategy in China

Abstract Through the analysis of little free library’s (LFL) characteristics such as small scale, low cost, service without time limit, this paper reveals a detailed description of the LFL’s development in our country, and a strategic SWOT analysis from four aspects which are opportunity, challenges, advantages and disadvantages. Also, it analyzes the possibility of an all-round development of LFL in our country. Finally, four strategies are put forward in order to develop LFL. Firstly, we should make an overall plan from point to surface, and widely publicized. Secondly, library should assist LFL’s development. Thirdly, we should integrate the social strength. Fourthly, the new media technology should be used to make the LFL library become the communication center.
