Analysis on the Librarian’s Behavioral Characteristics of Practicing the Knowledge Service Philosophy
Abstract The philosophy of knowledge service can influence and change the behavioral characteristics of the librarians. The essence of library service is to provide with knowledge service, every librarian can make a difference in the knowledge service. The behaviour of librarian, guided by the knowledge service philosophy, will appear to be full of humanities, capable to gain the relevance between interdisciplinary subjects, concerned with the strategic information, adapt in identifying critical issues, setting up seamless communication platform, capable to carry on information literacy education at any time and construct the correlation between subjects automatically. As a result, knowledge service, which transcends and sublimates the traditional documentary service, is the best way for a library to invest in future.
