The Letter from Chief Librarian

Under the support of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Jiangsu Provincial Government, NL’s new building is soon to be completed and start operation. As one of landmark cultural architectures of Jiangsu Province, it does not only reflect the tremendous endeavor the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Jiangsu Provincial Government have made but also will bring us new opportunities to inject fresh energy into the century-old Library, gear it to the increasing social demands of information age, give it full play to the harmonious prosperity of society, economy, and culture of Jiangsu and make contribution to building Jiangsu into a culturally strong province. In future, I will work shoulder by shoulder with all the NL employees to improve the user-oriented services, push forward the modernization drive and transcend the traditional advantages by widening the service scope.

Finally, on behalf of all my colleagues I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all individuals and groups who have supported NL. And I’m very optimistic that with continuous collaboration of the whole society we will bring an even brighter future to NL
